Norman Sorensen


Audiologist Norman Sorensen, a native of Wyoming, and has been in Rapid City with Mountain Plains Audiology for over 15 years. Norman graduated from Utah State University with a B.S. in Communication Disorders, and from Ohio University with an MA in Hearing and Speech Sciences- Audiology.He specializes in educating people about hearing loss and prevention, as well as helping those with hearing loss to enjoy their lives more through better hearing.

He enjoys spending time with his wife and five children and outdoor activities. They live near Hermosa and like to explore the Black Hills.

Mountain Plains Audiology has been providing the finest quality diagnostic audiology and hearing aid dispensing services for over 35 years and we were the first free-standing audiology clinic in South Dakota. We can help you make the best choices with all of your hearing needs and we strive to ensure a better quality of life through better hearing for all of our patients.

We serve the greater Rapid City area in our Rapid City office Monday through Friday.  We also have satellite locations to provide services in Spearfish and Newcastle.

Hearing Aids and Supplies - Mountain Plains Audiology features the latest technology in hearing aids.

Diagnostic Audiology Service - At Mountain Plains Audiology. We specialize in the non-medical treatment of your ear problems. We will evaluate your hearing using state-of-the-art equipment. Following a thorough exam, Norman Sorensen will check for hearing problems, assess what may be causing the loss, and recommend solutions.

Hearing Conservation Services - Mountain Plains Audiology does OSHA required hearing testing and monitoring. Customized noise protection ear molds for use by industry, schools, manufacturing, hunting and shooting, motorcyclists.
