Central Oregon Audiology
Jeanette Van Kessel
Jeanette Van Kessel is the founder of Central Oregon Audiology. She brings a variety of audiology experiences to her private practice, as she’s previously worked in hospitals, hearing conservation programs, hearing instrument manufacturing and other private practice clinics. Jeannette earned her master's degree in audiology at Oregon State University and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.
When she’s not in the clinic, she enjoys being active by running, skiing, playing tennis, kayaking and doing yard work. She also enjoys reading and spending time with her three daughters and other family, friends and colleagues.
Cory Richards is a licensed audiologist with several years’ experience working in private practice. He earned his master’s degree in audiology from Washington State University and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Dr. Richards specializes in vestibular disorders and is accepting new patients.
In November 2016, we were very fortunate to be joined by an outstanding professional. Audiologist Lindy Nettleton received her undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee and completed her graduate work in Audiology at the University of Wyoming. She completed her clinical fellowship at the San Luis Medical Center in Alamosa, Colorado, diagnosing various types of hearing loss. She also managed post-operative children’s assessments in this setting.
For many years she practiced within the Redding Ear, Nose & Throat department in Redding, California. There she initiated and developed the hearing aid dispensing program and provided a variety of Audiology services including diagnostic evaluations for hearing and tinnitus concerns for patients ranging in age from infants through the elderly.
Lindy enjoys working within the profession of Audiology, as it creates an opportunity to improve the quality of so many lives right here in our own community every day.
She has happily settled into her new Central Oregon lifestyle, enjoying the outdoors with her husband and daughters. Lindy provides Audiology services at Central Oregon Audiology in the Bend and Redmond locations.
Marya Berry joined Central Oregon Audiology as occupational hearing conservationist in 1999. Marya manages the mobile community outreach clinic and the industrial hearing testing and monitoring program. She is a licensed hearing instrument dispenser.
When she’s not busy in the clinic, Marya likes to read, play tennis, go jet skiing and spend time with her family.

“Made an appointment three weeks in advance and drove four hours from Ashland to bed when I arrived I had to sign a release stating that I might be responsible for the cost of the appointment ($350!). My complaint is that they should have check insurance (Medicare) before I arrived and advised me, or at least ask me on the phone what insurance I had instead of being surprised the day of the appointment. This was a complete waste of trip for me.”
“They seem to know what they are doing. ”
“Realistic and not pushy. No pressure. ”
“They are friendly but professional. No nonsense - she spent what seemed like a lot of time with me doing fine tuning. That was good a good thing - unfortunately mine are old enough that the new computer programs haven't kept up and she had to go hunt an older program. Somebody had one on a laptop, which was a good thing, so we were able to talk to my old hearing aids and re-adjust them. She went the extra mile on that one, for sure. ”
“Really informative. ”
