James holds a Master of Arts degree in Audiology from Kent State University. He has held clinical Audiologist positions at the Montgomery Institute, Akron, Ohio; the Wickliffe City Schools, Wickliffe, Ohio and the Wassaic Developmental Center where he initiated and developed from one of the first Audiology services for institutionalized developmentally disabled clients in the New York State Mental Retardation/Developmental Disabilities System. In 1980 he formed Professional Hearing Services, a private practice in Audiology, in Dutchess County, NY. In 2003 Mr. Gahn joined Vivatone Hearing Systems, LLC, developer of the first receiver-in-the-canal (RIC) hearing aid. In 2005 he was appointed Director of Audiology and Product Development at VHS.
Besides having a specialty in the evaluation and rehabilitation of hearing impaired developmentally challenged individuals, Mr. Gahn has extensive experience in clinical evaluation of pediatric, school age children and adults including specializing in assessment and treatment of Central Auditory Processing disorders. His hearing aid evaluation and fitting experience spans a 40 year career.
Kristin Barringer Rich
Kristin earned a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Albany, her master’s degree from the State University of New York at New Paltz and a doctorate in audiology from the University of Florida. She holds a certificate of clinical competence in audiology from the American Speech Language Hearing Association. Dr. Barringer Rich specializes in audiological evaluation for people of all ages.
Morganne earned a bachelor’s degree from the College of Saint Rose and a doctorate in audiology from the University at Buffalo. She is a licensed audiologist in the state of New York and a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Dr. Miller specializes in fitting and programming the latest in hearing aid technology.
