“I took my 1-year old daughter to see Dr. Brian Lebovitz recently. I sat down on the examination chair with my daughter on my lap. Dr. Lebovitz pressed his forehead against my daughter's forehead and was much too close for my comfort. He started playing with her blowing on the sides of her face, which was not only strange but inappropriate. When he examined her he lacked compassion and was too rough based on my prior experience with doctors. He aggressively stuck a tongue depressor down her throat to check her. She kept gagging and crying and he did not seem to care. My 9-year-old daughter was in the room and started to cry. I just did not know how to react so I froze. My 1-year old started to vomit and he told her "don't vomit on me" twice in a very rude tone. He did not get dirty with the vomit, but preceded to tell me that I should not have feed her tomato juice before this visit. I told him I fed her carrots. He said that is not good either. Before every action he took he said "she's not going to like me," which is not the approach anyone should take when working with children. He should be as gentle as possible and try to reassure parents, not make them worry. The second part of the exam was hard on my daughter as well, but I am glad it is over. After it was done, he said she needed to have her adenoids removed and ear tubes. I think he made that assessment too quickly. He said I can give her antibiotics, which she had not taken for her condition. He said there is about a 20% chance she will feel better, but she will still need the surgery. That made me feel as though he gets some type of commission per surgery or he just like doing surgeries. This man should not be working with children at all! Please do not allow your children to go through what my baby experienced. On top of all of this the wait was over an hour. Stay far away!”
