Rachael earned her Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing Science and Psychology from the University of Iowa and Master’s in Audiology from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. She has always liked working with children and had initially wanted to help them with hearing loss as a speech pathologist. After taking some audiology classes, though, she realized that she enjoyed the science of hearing and the technology involved with hearing aids, so she decided to become an audiologist. Rachael enjoys reading, embroidery, knitting, sewing and spending time with family.
Jeffrey earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and Disorders from St. Cloud State University before pursuing his Doctorate of Audiology from Central Michigan University. Christine earned her Bachelor of Applied Arts in Communication Disorders from Central Michigan University and proceeded to also earn her Doctorate of Audiology from Central Michigan University. Christine enjoys spending time with friends, family and pets, hiking and camping, sewing. Christine discovered audiology through studying speech language pathology. Marlys earned her Master’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Washington State University. She enjoys spending time with her grandkids, knitting, gardening, and reading. Marlys’ interests in communication and learning disabilities led to a long and successful career in Educational Audiology. She worked primarily with babies and children in North Iowa for over 25 years. Marlys found great satisfaction in removing obstacles that prevented a child from having a successful education and improved overall well-being. She has always had an excellent working relationship with Hearing Associates while working at the AEA (Area Education Agency). That relationship allowed Marlys and her team to provide the best of services to children with hearing aids in the schools. Because of the respect gained in partnering with Hearing Associates over the years and her continued commitment to helping others achieve better hearing, Marlys has decided to come on staff to work primarily with ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) patients.

“Was very knowledgeable. Explained well. ”
“I have a moment to review my experiences with Hearing Associates. Surveys, are difficult; as I'm totally blind, & have been that way since birth. If I were to rate Hearing Associates on a scale of 1 to 10, it most definitely would get a 10. I'm good friends with Alex, Director of Operations for Hearing Associates. He & I are members of the River City Barbershop Chorus. For a long time, he has been wanting me to get my hearing checked, as he felt that Hearing Associates would be able to help me. Because of other health issues, that suggestion was put on hold for a while. Once those issues were resolved, an appointment was made. There are no words that will adequately describe the feelings I have for this place. Everything was done & handled in an as professional a way that I know of. Before I started writing this, I had the opportunity to review some of the comments, & I echo the sentiments expressed. Alex, & those who are a part of this wonderful staff, are truly a class act. They truly care about the people they seek to help. I myself, have been to Hearing Associates 3 different times. I'm so happy with Kristine, & the way she has worked with me on my new Hearing Aid's. It has been a unique experience; in that it was the first time she had worked with someone who was totally blind. She did great! & was so thorough in answering whatever questions I may have had. The friendship which has come about, is priceless. I have since, sent an email to Alex, & asked him to share it with Staff. I have nothing but positives for this place. I can't wait for my next visit in September. ”
