James Timko

MS, CCC-A

Audiologist Jim Timko is the owner of Timko Hearing and Balance Care. He has been providing hearing care services in Volusia County since 1987. His specialties include diagnostic hearing evaluations, balance testing/treatments and personalized hearing technology solutions. 

Jim is actively involved in the progress of the hearing care industry and participates in numerous continuing education programs. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.
 
Jim earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Ohio University and his Master's degree in Audiology from the University of Florida and has been helping the people of the Deland area hear better ever since.
 
Outside of the office, Jim enjoys traveling, tennis and golf.

“My wife got her hearing aids over 4 months ago. She is happy with the hearing aids, however were told that we would pay up front and be reimbursed by our insurance carrier. We got nothing because Timko has failed to submit to our insurance company. We have contacted them many times and been reassured that this be taken care. We get promises but when we contact our insurance company they tell us that nothing has been submitted. ”

Timko Hearing and Balance Care is owned and operated by James "Jim" Timko, a certified Audiologist who specializes in professional diagnostic hearing exams and computerized balance testing. In 1990, Jim opened his first private practice office in Deland and then grew the practice to include offices in Ormond Beach and Port Orange.

Today, the offices of Timko Hearing and Balance Care provide the best in quality hearing care, complete with the latest hearing aid devices for any budget and thorough follow-up care to ensure that each patient receives complete satisfaction from their hearing care experience.
