“Since the purchase of my hearing aids from Sound Advice in 2019, I have not been disappointed with the hearing product I purchased or the continued service they offer. With the hearing aid purchase, comes periodic cleaning maintenance, adjustments or need repairs at no additional cost. This important maintenance keeps me hearing at my best. The initial selection and guidance of my hearing aid choice was expertly guided by owner Ben Wrightman, Au.D. and more recently I have worked with Becky and find her expert help equal to Ben. I would be in error if I did not mention the wonderful support staff there, too. All my experiences at Sound Advice have been with top notch professionals.”
“As an engineer and a hearing aid user of almost 40 years, I have visited many offices and worked with many audiologists. I have had good experiences and bad experiences, but never a GREAT experience until just recently. I contacted seven different audiologists in hopes of purchasing new hearings, and decided to go with Ben Wightman Au.D. of Sound Advice Audiology in Livonia. Anyone that deals with hearing loss, be it mild, profound or anything between, knows that communication skills, critical-thinking, compassion and probably most importantly, patience is needed when dealing with such challenges. I was incredibly impressed by the professionalism that greeted me at the front door by the Office Manager to the time, transparency and care that Dr. Wightman showed me through the entire process of purchasing new hearing aids. Of the seven places that I contacted, Sound Advice Audiology had access to all of the brands and models of devices, they didn’t push any one brand on me, like several of the other offices did, Dr. Wightman had device suggestions based on my testing, but explained that he is not in the business of selling hearing aids, but in the business of giving me the best chance of successfully utilizing what hearing I have left. Also, Sound Advice had the longest trial period of the offices that I contacted. They allow for a 30-day trial, not 2-weeks as the other offices limit you to. Two weeks is not long enough for your brain to acclimate to the new sounds that you are hearing or the old sounds that you are hearing differently with new technology. Even at that, Sound Advice is flexible with the trial period. Probably, the most important thing that I can state confidently, of the seven places that I contacted, Sound Advice had the least EXPENSIVE prices for hearing aids and their repairs. They beat the lowest quote that I obtained elsewhere by $1,200! Everybody knows that hearing aids are not cheap! So my recommendation to anyone looking for a professional office of an audiologist that has affordable, compassionate and patient care that is willing do whatever it takes to make you make the most of your challenges… look no farther than Dr. Ben Wightman Au.D. of Sound Advice Audiology with offices in Livonia and Farmington Hills. I was truly blessed to have discovered him, and now you can be too.”
“I found the experience at Sound Advice to be a very thorough exam and the consult was geared to my needs and not to what the clinic us selling today. I felt no pressure and the audiologist made it very easy to decide what I wanted and with the return policy it made me feel like I couldn't make a mistake in my choice.”
“I had static in my right hearing aid, so I called my Dr. in Fl. Who gave me the number for Sound Advice. They took it in, sent it to the factory and returned it to me in 4 days. Always communicating with me. Very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I was just passing through - it was way to our summer home yet they treated me as a long time valued customer.”
“I had a great experience with Sound Advice Audiology in Livonia, Michigan. I would highly recommend them to others in need of having their hearing checked, ears cleaned, or if you are needing hearing assistance or products to facilitate communication for the hearing impaired. Their staff is professional, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and respectful. Their office is very clean, modern, filled with amenities like various candies, refreshments, Kleenex, and displays for various hearing equipment to check out, and it smells nice. I had experienced an urgent situation where I needed to see someone asap due to pain, balance, and discomfort. (I thought I had impacted my ears with wax.) They got me in the same day we called, in the middle of the Coronavirus outbreak! The Audiologist was one of the most pleasant and kind Doctors I've ever dealt with. Additionally, since I ended up not needing their services, my entire visit was FREE. I've never heard of a business helping the public and not even charging them! Seriously, if you've been living with hearing loss you have nothing to lose, go to Sound Advice Audiology and let them help make your life better! THANK YOU for helping me, Sound Advice Audiology in Livonia. ”
