Dr. Collyn Gallant is a licensed audiologist at California Ear Institute. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and her doctorate in audiology from both San Diego University and the University of California San Diego joint doctoral program. Dr. Gallant is a member of the American Academy of Audiology. She sees patients at the California Ear Institute for audiology appointments and the Global Hearing, Inc facility for cochlear implant patients.

“Based on my experience this place is all about taking your money away from you and giving you minimal service until the contract is expired and they can take their money and run. I paid for hearing aids and I still can't use them. They have not been able to make them work and when I sent them to the manufacturer, the manufacturer told them that they are bad hearing aids. California Ear Institute never figured out that they were bad. They were telling me it is my brain that is not getting used to it. They do not care about the patients. ”
Received 03/19/2018Official Response from California Ear Institute:“It is California Ear Institute's desire and goal to give the best possible care to each patient that visits our clinic, so we are very sorry you were not satisfied with the services you received at our office. When a patient purchases hearing devices, California law allows 30 days from the purchase date for the patient to return the devices for any reason as outlined in the written and patient signed purchase agreement. During the trial period, it is CEI's policy to run verification measures of the hearing device while in the patient's ear to verify proper function and amplification. At the end of 30 days, if a patient chooses to keep the devices, the sale becomes final. After a thorough examination of documentation related to your complaint following your desire to return your hearing devices 22 months after their purchase, the California Medical Board determined that no action is required by CEI. We are honoring the Board's decision and recommendation. Thank you for your consideration of our position.”
