“Dr. Cuero educated me on the types of hearing aids and let me choose which ones I felt would be best for me. She was very helpful. She told me which ones had the Bluetooth capability, which is what I was looking for. My hearing aids fit me perfect and you can't even tell I have them. I recommend this audiologist 100%.”
About this clinic
Our goal is to provide you the best possible hearing care, based upon your individual needs. We provide a comprehensive array of services related to evaluation, rehabilitation and prevention of hearing impairment. These services include comprehensive hearing evaluations, specialized diagnostic testing, and industrial hearing screenings.
Choosing an audiologist is one of the most important decisions a hearing impaired person can make. Since a hearing aid cannot be prescribed like eye glasses, proper hearing aid recommendation and fitting is highly dependent on the judgment and skill of the professional selecting the instrument. We test your hearing, select and dispense the hearing instrument best to meet your needs, in addition to ,providing support, counseling and service of the hearing system. We are concerned about the person and make hearing solution recommendations to fit your lifestyle and personal needs.
Protecting your hearing can make a big difference. We can help you protect your hearing from further deterioration through education about what affects your hearing, as well as the proper use and care of hearing protection devices.
Diagnostic Hearing Evaluations
The audiometric evaluation consists of pure tone air and bone conduction testing. Testing pure tones is done to determine the degree of hearing loss and whether hearing loss is conductive or sensorineural. Speech audiometry is obtained to evaluate the individual’s ability to understand speech at an elevated comfortable volume. Speech discrimination is also tested to determine how much a person will understand when wearing hearing aids. We will also give you several words to repeat. The results will help us determine your percentage of hearing loss, your ability to understand speech, and if hearing aids will help you.
Tympanometry is an examination used to test the condition of the middle ear and mobility of the eardrum (tympanic membrane) and the conduction bones, by creating variations of air pressure in the ear canal.
