- Hearing Aids
- Small electronic devices worn in or behind the ear to compensate for hearing problems. Earmolds are used to couple certain styles of hearing aids to the ear including Earplugs to protect your hearing.
- Cochlear Implants
- Surgically implantable devices for the treatment of severe to profound hearing loss for persons who do not benefit from conventional hearing aids. These devices provide electrical stimulation to the hearing nerve so that a person may hear.
- Batteries
- Specially developed batteries for use in devices such as Hearing Aids, Cochlear Implants and Bone Conduction Implants. Hearing aids need batteries replaced every 1 to 3 weeks!
- Assistive Devices
- Amplified phones, TV listening systems, flashing door chime, sound field systems, FM devices, Bluetooth compatible devices and vibrating alarm clocks are just a few of the many assistive devices that can be used to improve a listening situation. Many of these can be either used with a hearing aid or cochlear implant in a specific situation or may be used on their own to improve a listening situation.
- Self Help Organizations
- Local, state, national and international organizations that provide hearing help advice and advocacy for persons with hearing related problems. These include professional and consumer based groups.
