ENT is called Otolaryngology (pronounced oh/toe/lair/in/goll/oh/jee), and is the oldest medical specialty in the United States. Otolaryngologists are physicians trained in the medical and surgical management and treatment of patients with diseases and disorders of the ear, nose, throat (ENT), and related structures of the head and neck. They are commonly referred to as ENT physicians. Their special skills include diagnosing and managing diseases of the sinuses, larynx (voice box), oral cavity, and upper pharynx (mouth and throat), as well as structures of the neck and face. Otolaryngologists diagnose, treat, and manage specialty-specific disorders as well as many primary care problems in both children and adults.

Todd Berinstein, MD, JD, FACS is a board certified and experienced ENT (ear, nose & throat) doctor, with a special interest in diseases of the ear. He has achieved board certification by the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. His status as a fellow of the American Accademy of Otolaryngic Allergy means advanced training in ENT allergy care. He is a fellow of the American Accademy of Otolaryngic Allergy, meaning he has met the standards for the practice of ENT Allergy and for better, whole-patient care. He has been working in Vancouver since leaving the US Navy in 1997, first as a solo practitioner, then joining Dr. Donald Newell at Vancouver ENT. His ENT training was at the U.S. Naval Medical Center, San Diego. In 2007, he spent 6 months in an otology (ear) fellowship at the world famous Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and Bionic Ear Institute, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
Laura Polich has been an audiologist since 1987. She is a clinical audiologist, and she has taught college-level classes in audiology and speech pathology. She earned her first audiology degree from the University of Washington in Seattle in 1987. Dr. Polich received her PhD from the University of Texas at Austin in 1999. She taught the main class in Auditory Processing Disorders at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas from 2004-2007.
