We believe hearing and balance care begins with accurate diagnostic testing followed by an informed discussion of the test results. This allows each person to understand their unique problem and with our audiologists choose the solution that is best for them.
Mary Chollman, Au.D., FAAA, joined Seattle Hearing and Balance in 2006. Mary received her master’s degree in 1999 from the University of Washington and obtained her doctorate in Audiology in 2004 from The School of Audiology program at Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Professionally, one of Mary’s passions is fitting personal listening devices. She states that, “It is a rewarding and fulfilling experience providing access to communication that patients deserve.” She enjoys the personal relationships she establishes with her patients and treasures seeing them year after year. Mary lives in Issaquah where she enjoys taking walks, cooking and spending time with her husband, 2 sons, Jackson and Wyatt, and daughter Erin.
Sandra Ellis, Au.D., FAAA, grew up in Vancouver, WA and attended the UW for her BS (1975) and Master's degree in Audiology (1978). She received her Doctorate in Audiology from A.T. Still School of Health Sciences. She is Board Certified in Audiology by the American Academy of Audiology. Sandy began Seattle Hearing and Balance in 1991 (as Providence Audiology) to help people find solutions for hearing and dizziness/balance problems. She believes these solutions are found through a caring relationship between audiologist and patient combined with skillful diagnostics. To encourage future audiologists to respect this relationship Sandy mentors Audiology interns from the University of Washington. Sandy's unique combination of energy and empathy attracts loyal patients and referring doctors alike. Sandy lives in the Cascade foothills with her family, dogs, cats and horse. In her free time she likes to ski, bike, sail and of course, play with her horse.
