Neil excelled in the field of audiology and enjoyed the direct patient contact and ability to help people improve their lives with better hearing. On April 1, 1992, Neil graduated with his Master's Degree in Audiology and joined his father, Frank, in private practice at Columbia Basin Hearing Center in Richland, Washington. After completing his clinical fellowship year, he became an American Speech and Hearing Association Certified Audiologist. Neil soon became very involved in community outreach at local senior centers and retirement homes, as well as becoming active with the local chambers of commerce. He assisted local charities with fundraising for multiple sclerosis, and volunteered in a middle school classroom teaching business skills to 7th grade students. Neil also joined the Columbia Center Rotary Club and was very active in volunteering his time in a variety of community projects, ultimately joining the Board of Directors. In 1994, Neil began playing trombone for Swing Unlimited, a 20-piece swing band. His band has played at numerous functions including weddings, anniversaries, New Year's Eve parties, Rotary-sponsored events, Kiwanis events, corporate Christmas parties and large fundraising events in the Columbia Basin region. Since then Columbia Basin Hearing & Balance Center has become the Tri-Cities largest independent audiology practice with the most comprehensive products and services available in the greater Tri-Cities region. Neil recently graduated with his Au.D. Pennsylvania College of Optometry, School of Audiology Doctoral Program in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Clinical Doctorate Degree, Au.D., is recognized as the highest level of clinical training an audiologist can obtain in the field of Clinical Audiology. The incorporation of this training and experience will and has already benefited patients locally with more current and advanced procedures being introduced locally. Most recently Neil and CBHBC has become an American Institute of Balance (AIB) Audiology Affiliate.
