Neil Aiello

M.A., CCC-A

•Doctor of Audiology - May 2007 - Pennsylvania College of Optometry School of Audiology •Master's Degree in Audiology - 1992 - Washington State University Spokane, Washington Neil Aiello began his audiology career in 1990 when he entered the Master's Degree program in Audiology at Washington State University in Spokane, Washington. Neil spent countless hours in the classroom, library and various practicum sites across Spokane working in conjunction with other audiologists in hospitals and doctors' clinics. Neil excelled in the field of audiology and enjoyed the direct patient contact and ability to help people improve their lives with better hearing. On April 1, 1992, Neil graduated with his Master's Degree in Audiology and joined his father, Frank, in private practice at Columbia Basin Hearing Center in Richland, Washington. After completing his clinical fellowship year, he became an American Speech and Hearing Association Certified Audiologist. Neil soon became very involved in community outreach at local senior centers and retirement homes, as well as becoming active with the local chambers of commerce. He assisted local charities with fundraising for multiple sclerosis, and volunteered in a middle school classroom teaching business skills to 7th grade students. Neil also joined the Columbia Center Rotary Club and was very active in volunteering his time in a variety of community projects, ultimately joining the Board of Directors. In 1994, Neil began playing trombone for Swing Unlimited, a 20-piece swing band. His band has played at numerous functions including weddings, anniversaries, New Year's Eve parties, Rotary-sponsored events, Kiwanis events, corporate Christmas parties and large fundraising events in the Columbia Basin region. In fact, Swing Unlimited played for a Columbia Basin Hearing Center 'Friends of the Practice' celebration in which current patients were invited to attend free of charge. Neil is blessed with two girls. Kelsey was born in 1994 and Amy was born in 1996. Neil enjoys spending time with his children playing various sports, music and traveling together. From 1994 to the present, Kelsey and Amy have grown-up to be beautiful young ladies, excelling personally and scholastically. Since 1992 Neil has helped his father and mother, Dr. Frank and Beverly, grow Columbia Basin Hearing Center into a regional hearing and balance clinic. Since then Columbia Basin Hearing & Balance Center has become the Tri-Cities largest independent audiology practice with the most comprehensive products and services available in the greater Tri-Cities region. Neil recently graduated with his Au.D. Pennsylvania College of Optometry, School of Audiology Doctoral Program in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Clinical Doctorate Degree, Au.D., is recognized as the highest level of clinical training an audiologist can obtain in the field of Clinical Audiology. The incorporation of this training and experience will and has already benefited patients locally with more current and advanced procedures being introduced locally. Most recently Neil and CBHBC has become an American Institute of Balance (AIB) Audiology Affiliate. This Affiliation certifies that CBHBC meets strict educational requirements, including competency examination and continuing education to retain the AIB Certification. It essentially guarantees a certain level of expertise in the field of Vestibular Assessment, Management and Rehabilitation available locally here in the Tri-Cities Region. Neil believes the Tri-Cities are a great community to be a part of and consider them his home now and in the future. He appreciates the many years of support he has received from this wonderful community and promise to give back more than he has ever received
