

Dr. Wilson joined the Blue Ridge Speech and Hearing team in August 2009. She received her Masters of Communication Disorders in Audiology from The Callier Center, University of Texas at Dallas in 1987, and was awarded her Doctorate in Audiology from A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona in 2005. She brings with her more than 22 years of experience as an audiologist serving the hearing impaired in a variety or professions environments which include her own private practice and prominent ear nose and throat practices in Dallas, Texas. She is excited to be Director of Audiology at Blue Ridge Speech and Hearing as her first experience working with a non-for profit clinic. She has particular interest and expertise in the field of aural rehabilitation, particularly in fitting hearing aids. With the continual refinement of the micro-chip in hearing aid technology we are seeing patient success with hearing aids like never before. No longer do I have to tell my patients they might not be able to hear in noisy areas or on the telephone automatically! What a God send! Moving to Falls Church, Virginia with her husband in January, 2009 she lives with her husband, four cats and a chocolate Labrador retriever. She and her husband of 27 years, have a 19 year old daughter who is studying Industrial Engineering. Dr. Wilson states that Living life to its fullest, loving and enjoying every moment is my goal for myself, my family and my patients.
Dr. Himler joined Blue Ridge Speech & Hearing in 2011 after 20 years practicing audiology and hearing aid dispensing in Reston, Virginia. Board Certified in Audiology, she has a broad background of experience and truly enjoys working with all ages, newborn to 100+. A graduate of Boston University in 1984, she received her Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1986, ultimately received her Doctor of Audiology from Salus University in Philadelphia in 2009. Dr. Himler belongs to the American Academy of Audiology, ASHA and the Academy of Doctors of Audiology. She is very excited to be working in her home community and looks forward to improving the quality of life of her patients and their families through better hearing. Dr. Himler is married with 4 children and enjoys all things beach and photography.
Audiology: Blue Ridge Speech and Hearing Center Audiology department offers an array of services to help diagnose hearing loss, assist the hearing impaired with the best possible hearing, and protect against hearing loss. Hearing Aids: Our clinic works with several hearing aid manufacturers to provide our patients with a variety of options including different levels of technology, sizes, and costs. Our hearing aid pricing is highly competitive and our service is incomparable. Our audiologists strive to fit the best product for your lifestyle and needs. Our audiologists work on a non-commissioned basis, so that your hearing health care is our primary concern. We offer a standard 30-day trial period on all purchased hearing aids and have several sets of demo hearing aids that we can offer for free trials prior to purchasing a hearing aid. We also offer diagnostic evaluations and follow-up services for Auditory Processing Disorder and tinnitus. Other professional services include Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy.
