Cathryn Comstock has been at American Hearing Center since 1989. She earned her Master of Arts in Audiology from the University of Texas and her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from Arizona School of Health Science, a college of the A.T. Still University. She is closely involved with the medical, educational and industrial communities of Central Texas in order to best meet their hearing health care needs.
Dr. M. Rita Newby earned her bachelor’s degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Central Florida. She then went on to earn a Doctorate of Audiology from Nova Southeastern University. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (FAAA).
As a mother of two hearing impaired children she has first-hand knowledge of the challenges hearing impaired individuals and their families face on a day-to-day basis. She believes in staying up-to-date on the latest technology, following best audiological practices and adhering to the highest ethical standards.
Dr. Newby’s clinical expertise includes diagnostic audiology, educational audiology, hearing aids and assistive listening devices.
She has recently transplanted from her home state of Florida and looks forward to getting to know the friendly folks of Central Texas and breaking out her cowboy boots.
