Dr. Dunlop received his graduate degree from the University of Tennessee. He recently retired as Chief Audiology Section of Central Texas Veterans Health Care System, whose focus was providing exceptional hearing health care services to veterans from clinics in Waco, Temple and Austin. Significant accomplishments include the development or the Cochlear Implant Center of Temple, establishing a training program for future Doctors of Audiology in their externship year and advocating for expanded use of audiology assistants. As a clinic manager, he has served as a national coach for Systems Redesign in Audiology, which focuses on improving access to health care veterans. He was Chairman of the Department of Veterans Affairs Systems Redesign Steering Committee for Audiology, and a member of the Department of Veterans Affairs Outpatient System Redesign Subcommittee. Other significant positions include President of the Associate for VA Audiologists and appointment to the VA Audiology and Speech Pathology Field Advisory Council. His academic appointments included the College of Medicine, Texas A&M University, and the graduate faculty at The University of Texas at Austin. Bob and his wife, Jeanette, have two grown sons, Joseph and Patrick. They are members of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Temple where he serves as an elder. In his spare time he can usually be found on the golf course or working in the yard.
