Dr. Shafer earned both her Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Audiology from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. She completed her externship at the VA North Texas Health Care System. Dr. Shafer is licensed by the State of Texas, certified by the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.

Steven Peskind

M.D.

Dr. Steven Peskind focuses on problems of the ear, nose, throat, sinuses, and allergies for children and adults. He is also medical director of Enhanced Hearing, dispensing state-of-the-art hearing aids, assistive listening devices, and custom noise protection. Dr. Peskind, a Diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology and Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, is an empathetic listener, conservative in approach, and partners with his patients to address their health concerns. He has also studied the role of our mind and body as contributors to our health and illness.
