Dr. Allred was a professor of audiology at Sam Houston State University from 1976-1980. He has been practicing audiology in Huntsville since 1979. He is a pioneer in the field of newborn hearing screening in Texas. He was instrumental in establishing the award winning Huntsville Memorial Hospital’s Universal Newborn Hearing Screening Program in 1995, five years prior to the state mandate in 2000. Dr. Allred has lived in Huntsville, Texas since 1976 where he and his wife Lenna Allred, Ph.D. (Historian) have raised their 8 children. They are the proud grandparents of 30 plus grandchildren.

Dr. Cahill joined the Family Hearing Center over 10 years ago, performing as an office manager and then as a consultant as she studied at Lamar University. Dr. Cahill received her Doctorate in Audiology from Lamar University in May 2012 and then joined the Family Hearing Center in June 2012 as an audiologist. Dr. Cahill completed her Audiology externship at The Hearing Center of Lake Charles, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, where she specialized in the evaluation and treatment of dizzy patients. She is skilled in a full range of audiological diagnostic evaluations. Dr. Cahill grew up in Huntsville, TX and is the third of 4 daughters in the Allred family. She is a mother of 3 children.
