

Rynda has been with us since since 2001.A newly licensed Fitter & Dispenser. she can evaluate and fit you with the latest hearing aids. As a Support Specialist she can assist you in the demonstration and selection of many assistive devices, amplified telephones, assistive listening devices and the captioned telephones. A U of H graduate and one of the first people to pass the NEW Hearing Loss Association of America’s Support Specialist Academy. She is also versed in ASL, VR and insurance procedures.
Max is the owner/president of Hearing Systems Inc as well as a licensed Audiologist specializing in Rehabilitation Audiology. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Communicative Disorders and Psychology in 1978, and went on to complete his Master's Degree in Audiology in 1981, all at the State University of New York at Buffalo. While at the University of Buffalo, he worked for a year at the Buffalo Philharmonic orchestra on Project Hearing Electronics Arts Research (H.E.A.R.) using Assistive Listening Devices in large auditoriums with the Performing Arts (FM, Infrared and Loop Systems). He came to Houston in 1981 and worked for a year and a half as the staff audiologist with the U.T. Medical School Ear, Nose, and Throat Department in the Texas Medical Center. From there he began and developed the Audiology Service for Cypress-Fairbanks ISD and the Northwest Cooperative for Education of the Deaf (seven school districts). In 1982 he started Hearing Systems Co. which grew into a full time firm specializing in Assistive Technology for the Deaf and Hearing Impaired. Hearing Systems is fully staffed under Mr. McCarthy's direction to provide consultation, sales, service, hearing aids and all types of equipment which allows complete accessibility for persons with impaired hearing. We work extensively with the Department of Rehabilitative Services (DRS, DBS, and DHHS), Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA), and several other area organizations concerned with the hearing impaired. Our caring attitude, coupled with professional knowledge, makes all the difference in the world
Les is the Sales Consultant and Business Manager at Hearing Systems. Hearing impaired since 1961 and a long time hearing aid user He personally tests each product that we sell, and we only sell what works. He has vast knowledge and "real life" experience with hearing loss and overcoming barriers with the help of technology by drawing intensely on his experiences in the educational field and managerial expertise in the agricultural industry, the oil industry and highway sub-contracting. He was also a graduate of the first class of the Hearing Loss of America’s Support Specialist Academy. A long time Cochlear Implant user since 1993, he has learned much about utilizing this device with the many assistive devices that we carry. He is very well versed with the Americans with Disabilities Act and is ready to consult with individuals, schools or corporate clients concerning their needs.
