Shala Sommers, AuD. joined Kelsey-Seybold in October 2006. She graduated from the Louisiana State University Health Science Center with a Master of Communication in 2005. She completed her Doctorate of Audiology at Salus University in Elkins Park, Penn. in 2009. When not helping patients, Shala enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, cooking, traveling, and reading.
An audiologist is a licensed healthcare professional who specializes in the diagnosis and rehabilitation of hearing loss and balance disorders. Audiologists at Kelsey-Seybold are certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association, licensed by Texas State Board of Examiners, and are fellows of the American Academy of Audiology. The audiology staff at the Main Campus, Fort Bend Medical and Diagnostic Center, Spring Medical and Diagnostic Center and The Woodlands Clinic provides professional hearing aid services to infants, children and adults.
