Kevin Guess


Kevin Guess received his B.A. from Southwestern University in music education in Georgetown, Texas and his M.S. in Audiology from the University of North Texas. Since joining the university in 1998, Mr. Guess has supervised undergraduate and graduate students in the clinic and has taught classes as needed at the graduate level. He enjoys working with all age levels; however, he especially enjoys working with children. During his 16 years as an audiologist, Mr. Guess has acquired a special interest in hearing aids as a part of the rehabilitative audiology process, vestibular assessment and auditory processing disorders.

Ami Muncy

Au.D., CCC-A

Ami Muncy earned her Bachelor’s of Arts degree with honors in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Florida and her Doctorate of Audiology degree at the University of Texas at Dallas/Callier Center for Communication Disorders. Dr. Muncy currently works as a supervising audiologist at the UNT Speech and Hearing Clinic, where she assists undergraduate and graduate students in audiology as well as provides hearing healthcare to persons of all ages. Since 2009, she has been the lead audiologist for the UNT Tinnitus and Hyperacusis Clinic. She came to UNT with several years experience working as an audiologist in a medical setting alongside a group of Ear, Nose, and Throat physicians as well as experience working in a hearing aid private practice. Her areas of special interest include auditory evoked potentials, tinnitus evaluation and treatment, and amplification in the aging population.

Lana Ward


Lana Ward earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech and Hearing Therapy from Bowling Green State University. As a public school speech therapist she worked primarily with developmentally delayed and severely language delayed children. She obtained a Master of Science degree in Audiology from UNT and continued her work in the public schools as an educational audiologist. In 2005, she completed her clinical doctorate (Au.D.) from the Arizona School of Health Sciences. Dr. Ward currently works as a supervising audiologist and practicum coordinator at UNT, where she collaborates with doctoral students to provide clinical services for hearing impaired individuals from birth to geriatrics. Dr. Ward also coordinates the clinical rotations and 4th Year Externship experiences required for students pursuing the Au.D.

The Center strives to provide superior professional diagnostic and treatment services in speech-language pathology and audiology while providing excellence in clinical education for students in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences at the University of North Texas. Our showcase facility boasts a hearing aid dispensary, preschool language room, numerous therapy and diagnostic rooms, areas for families to observe clinical sessions, and ample parking.
