Audiologist

I graduated with my Au.D. in 2007 from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock TX.  I started my career in Abilene TX at West Texas Rehab Center.  In 2010 I moved to Amarillo TX to be the director of the hearing and balance clinic at Quail Creek Ear, Nose, and Throat.  I started as a part time instructor at WTAMU in 2011 and became a full time instructor/clinic director in the fall of 2012.  I currently serve as the Department Chair for Communication Disorders at WTAMU.  We have an undergraduate program in Communication Disorders, and a graduate program in Speech-Language Pathology.  We received a full re-accreditation in September of 2015.

“I have been going to the WTAMU Speech and Hearing Clinic for about two years. I had my hearing tested there and had a hearing aid fitted. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Dr. Cross is outstanding in her ability to clearly explain what she is doing, what the results of testing mean, and makes every visit a pleasant one. I would recommend the clinic to anyone interested in a warm caring facility.”

“Dr. Brenda Cross is the best audiologist we have dealt with. My mother has tried several other places and hearing aides with minimal results. She was ready to give up after spending thousands of dollars with very little help. She got a set from Dr. Cross over two years ago and she can't live without them. They work fantastic and her service is second to none. Anytime she has an issue that we can't figure out Dr. Cross is there for us. My husband was so impressed and had been needing some that he is now a client also. I have a sister in Houston who wants to come because we have told her our audiologist is the best in the country.”
