Brenda is the Better Hearing Center's Patient Care Coordinator (PCC). She is usually the first happy voice and face you see whenever you contact or visit our office. Our patients are constantly remarking at how welcoming and helpful Brenda is with them. Brenda’s mother is a native of Fredericksburg. And Brenda herself just missed being a native Texan, and was born in Arkansas. She spent many years in Oregon before moving with her family to Austin in 2001. Brenda and her husband, Mike, have a pair of twins at home, Shawna and Erika. They also try and keep up with two grown daughters, Ashley and Megan, who occasionally make their way back home as well as first grandson, Alexander. Brenda is a tour de force at the Better Hearing Center. Not only is she an active member of the Diva Mommas (ask her about it), she’s an active baker! If you are lucky, there will be some of Brenda’s latest baked creation available when you come in for an appointment.
Hello! My name is Saleem. I am a native Texas, honest! And I am the Better Hearing Center’s main clinician. My firm belief is that my patients want to be treated with the utmost respect and dignity, that they want straight forward and useful information, and that they want heartfelt care and remarkable ongoing support and service. If you do too, then I look forward to meeting you, your friends, your colleagues and your family at the Better Hearing Center! One promise I made to myself and to my family when I opened the Better Hearing Center was to provide a very high level of patient care and service. I am honored to say my patients tell me every week how much better and unique their care is with us than with most of their other healthcare providers. This level of service and care means a great deal to me, and makes a tremendous difference to my patients and their hearing as well! We are always trying out new ways to improve our service and care, too. A bit about me – I was born in Dallas, which makes me a genuine native-Texas. My wife, Lori, and I have two fantastic children, Calianne and Atiyeh. We have lived in Austin since 1998, and love it! You’ll see them in some of the many photos displayed throughout our exam and testing rooms. Professionally, I have an undergraduate degree from Rice University in Houston, and a graduate business degree from the University of Texas at Austin. I hold a license from the state of Texas to practice as a Hearing Instrument Specialist. And I have completed all of my upper division course work to achieve the Audioprosthologist designation from the International Hearing Society and the American Conference on Audioprosthology. About my name – My father is Lebanese, and my first name means ‘peace’. To pronounce Saleem, just think of the popular singer CELINE DION. My name is pronounced just like hers, except where her name has an ‘N’, put in an ‘M’ and pronounce it like C-E-L-I-M-E, and that’s me, Saleem. I look forward to seeing you at the Better Hearing Center and welcome to opportunity to help you and those around you live better with better hearing!
