Physicians' Hearing Aid Center began as an extension of Otolaryngology Associates of Arlington (OAA). OAA was founded in 1967 by Dr. Lawrence Thomas and Dr. James Harrington, followed by the additions of Dr. Mark Brown, and Dr. Stuart Thomas. Dr. Lawrence Thomas and Dr. Harrington have retired. In June 2006, Dr. Mark Brown and Dr. Stuart Thomas joined with Drs. William Briggs, Dana Gibbs, and John Loudermilk to create Central Park Ear Nose and Throat (CPENT). In 2009, Dr. Elizabeth Ransom and Dr. Tyler Scoresby joined the practice. In July 2011, CPENT welcomed Dr. Rene Pena. All of the physicians are board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. The audiologists at Phyisicians' Hearing Aid Center/ CPENT are Doctors of Audiology. They are Texas licensed, maintain the ASHA Certification of Clinical Competency and are Fellows of the American Academy of Audiology. They have the latest equipment available for the testing and evaluation of hearing and balance disorders in children and adults. They also are fully trained and highly experienced in the selection and fitting of a broad range of hearing aids, from top of the line digital devices to digital devices that can work with any financial restriction. This allows them to fit patients with the most appropriate hearing aid for their particular situation. Our goal at Physicians' Hearing Aid Center and Central Park Ear Nose and Throat is to provide an integrated environment of medical and audiological care for patients with hearing or balance disorders. By having Physicians and Audiologists in the same building, we can take a team approach to the care of our patients. Nothing is more important to us than the welfare and satisfaction of our patients.
