Guy Weyer – SD, BC-HIS I am a certified hearing instrument specialist. I understand that the decision to get hearing devices is a difficult one because of past perceptions and because so many different kinds of hearing instruments are available. When I work with patients I give them the information needed to make an appropriate decision for what will work best with their hearing needs and their lifestyle listening situations so they get the best for what is needed. I continually go to hearing conventions and workshops to keep up to date with the latest in hearing technology so as to improve my ability to help with patients’ needs. What I like best about working with patients is seeing the improved ability to communicate with family and friends. The most touching stories that I’ve heard from my patients always involve better communication and relationships with the ones that are the most important in their lives.
Patient Event Coordinator My Goal as Patient Event Coordinator is to help make the experience for each Patient that comes in enjoyable and to let new patients know that we are here to help them with all their hearing needs. My role is also to help educate others about hearing loss, the effects it can have on their lives, especially their loved ones and friends, and what they can do to help alleviate the issues that can arise with hearing loss and the benefits to finding solutions for their needs. The reason I do this is because it is my desire to be able to help those that are in need by finding them the best care they can receive, and I believe we offer that here at Natural Hearing Center. I was born in Dickinson, North Dakota; I have lived in many towns and cities ranging from North Dakota, Minnesota, Florida, California, and I have lived in Aberdeen, South Dakota for the past 8 years. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, sports such as Football and Basketball. I also play racquetball in my spare time when I can and enjoy camping and traveling. That’s a little about me, now how about you?
Patient Care Coordinator I am most often the first person you will meet at Natural Hearing Center, whether you call or just walk in. I can assist you with setting up appointments, help you find the right product on our ear care shelf, mail out batteries and products if you are unable to stop in or live out of town, or just clean your hearing devices while you wait for your appointment or are just stopping in for regular maintenance. I am happy to be part of such a great team, YOUR team. I look forward to meeting you!
I am a clinical audiologist with 28 years experience in the field of rehabilitative audiology. I earned my undergraduate degree in Communication Disorder Sciences from Northern State University in Aberdeen in 1980. I earned my Master of Arts degree in Audiology from the University of South Dakota in 1982, and achieved a specialist’s certification as a research and clinical fellow in neuro-audiology through the Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic in 1989. My areas of specialty are in adult aural rehabilitation, with emphasis on the fitting of hearing instruments and systems to help patients experiencing communication difficulties related to hearing loss overcome those barriers, and help them maintain their communication skills, connections with others, functioning independence and quality of life enjoyment. Ever since childhood, when I recognized the struggles my hearing impaired Grandmother experienced and not receiving any help for her plight, I have had compassion and a sincere desire and commitment to help others like her overcome the barriers that hinder them from enjoying life to the fullest through better hearing.
