Dr. Smith graduated from the University of Florida with a Doctor of Audiology Degree and from Syracuse University with a Master's Degree in Audiology. He has completed fellowships at Faxton Children's Hospital in NY, The Institute for Sensory Research in NY, the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Syracuse NY. He completed a fellowship year in pediatric audiology in Charlotte, N.C. Prior to opening his own practice he was chief of Audiology at a large eye and ear practice in South Carolina. Dr. Smith specializing in hearing and balance disorders in adults and pediatric cases as well as the treatment of tinnitus. He has served on the SC State Board of Examiners in Audiology and is a past president of the South Carolina Academy of Audiology.

Anderson Audiology Consultants, P.A. was established by Dr. Smith in May of 2002. Dr. Smith decided that spending time with each patient was one of the most important factors related to hearing aid performance and satisfaction. Dr. Smith understands that there is a direct relationship between the amount of time spent with each patient and the patient's satisfaction and use of hearing aids/amplification. Dr. Smith has extensive training and education in hearing loss, balance disorders and tinnitus (sounds in the ears) treatment. His services include hearing testing (both diagnostic medical evaluations and evaluations for hearing aids); tinnitus assessment and treatment including tinnitus retraining therapy and balance assessment and treatment. He has extensive education and experience in pediatric hearing assessment and sees patients of all ages, from birth to the elderly.
