Elca Swigart is the Director of the Speech and Hearing Department. She earned her master's degree and doctorate in speech and hearing science at The Ohio State University and received post graduate training in pediatric audiology at NYU Medical Center. She joined Reading Hospital in 1980 and is also co-director of the cochlear implant program. Dr. Swigart's clinical interests include pediatric audiology, cochlear implants, and neonatal hearing screening. She has published materials in the areas of newborn hearing screening, cleft palate, and auditory perception.
She leads a team of highly qualified Audiologists that provide excellent patient care.
