Dr. Parr is an experienced board-certified audiologist specializing in assessing, diagnosing and treating people of all ages with hearing and balance disorders. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology, education and Spanish from West Virginia Wesleyan College, her master’s degree in communication disorders with emphasis in audiology from the Pennsylvania State University and her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Florida.
She is an expert at complete hearing assessments, including audiometric testing, auditory processing testing and rehabilitation, tinnitus evaluations, counseling and retraining therapy, otoacoustic emission testing, industrial hearing screenings, hearing aids and middle ear evaluations. She enjoys working with difficult to-fit patients who have not been happy with previously fit hearing aids by using the most advanced technology to individually custom fit the patient’s hearing loss, needs and life style.
As a Pennsylvania non-profit corporation, Fulton County Medical Center (FCMC) owns and operates an 88 bed critical access hospital and skilled nursing care facility and offers auxillary services including audiology. FCMC is located just a couple of hours from the metropolitan areas of Baltimore, MD and Washington D.C. and just an hour from the state capital in Harrisburg. FCMC has been proudly serving the Great Cove valley community for over fifty years.
