Diagnostic testing The test is completed in a sound booth using earphones and an audiometer. The audiometer sends different tones at different frequencies to each ear. This is a pain free test. Upon completion of testing each ear, we print out the results and identify if there are any areas of concern. These tests should help determine whether a hearing loss is best treated medically or with hearing aids.
