Sara Barron has worked as an audiologist for over 25 years, taking some time off to raise her three children. She was very excited to join AOP in February, 2010. She earned a Doctorate in Audiology in from Salus University, a Masters degree in Audiology from Columbia University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from New York University. Dr. Barron has extensive experience in assessment of auditory function in infants and children, as well as adult, geriatric and special needs populations. Her areas of interest include hearing aids, cochlear implants, assistive listening devices, tinnitus, aural rehabilitation, educational and pediatric audiology. She lives in Harrisburg with her husband and children.

“I do not recommend, as they could not even tell me if an audiogram was covered by Medicare, as some medically necessary tests are. So I needed to cancel appt. Costs need to be up front so consumers can determine if they can afford them. Again, would NOT recommend, unless you have a lot of extra disposable income.”

“The first guy I saw was good and on the ball. But the second guy, who was supposed to be "the guy" to see, was short. They could better their system there with a reminder call for appointments because a month goes by and people forget. Also, I wonder why does it take so long for an MRI to happen and a month later it is read. Why does it take so long, is my question? It was a bad experience. The lobby was empty, the place to check you out was empty, the place to check you in was empty. People just all the sudden vanished. For being the number one health care place in the world, it wasn't good. ”
