Central Oregon Audiology is a practice of professional Certified, Clinical* Audiologists. Our purpose is the provision of a complete range of diagnostic, conservation, consultation and rehabilitation services for persons with hearing concerns. Our area of specialization is in the dispensing of hearing aids and the rehabilitative process. Audiology Services Identification of hearing impairment from birth through adulthood. Diagnostic evaluation for patients with tinnitus (ringing ears), to rule out middle ear disease or disorders/excessive noise exposure problems/cochlcar or retrocochlear lesions or disease. Diagnostics to rule out inner ear or vestibular disorders for patients with dizzy and balance concerns. Hearing conservation program for industry; both in clinic and in mobile test lab. Assessments to determine need for hearing aids and aural rehabilitation. Hearing aid fittings and lifetime follow-up support. The Hearing Evaluation Variables Individual hearing needs: Once appropriately evaluated, the very specific needs shown on the audiogram are considered in the hearing aid recommendation. Hearing aid success varies among individuals. Technologies: A range of technologies exist that are often confusing to consumers. These technologies are categorized/clarified during the hearing aid evaluation and consultation so that consumers may select the best product of those recommended for their personal hearing need and lifestyle. The provider assists in the establishment of priorities by allowing ample discussion opportunity. Price: Hearing aid prices vary depending upon manufacturer, style and by the type of different technologies that meet their hearing needs and match needs in terms of pricing. Hearing aids are available from $39.00 all the way up to the most high tech, multichannel, automatic speech processing, directional, invisible aids at approximately $2500.00 There is a reasonable option for everyone and our role is to find what you will live most comfortably with.
