Comprehensive Hearing Evaluations
Using state-of-the-art equipment and techniques, Oberlin Hearing Care is Lorain County's premier hearing assessment and hearing aid dispensing facility. We provide comprehensive hearing evaluations for children (5 years and older) and adults. From video-otoscopy to otoacoustic emissions, we'll evaluate and define your hearing problem completely and provide solutions for treatment and remediation.
Hearing Aid Selection and Fitting
Oberlin Hearing Care offers advanced digital hearing technologies which are on the cutting edge of hearing loss treatment. Visible Speech Mapping and Real-Ear measurement technologies allow us to measure all our hearing aid fittings to ensure that they match the amplification prescription for each patient. All hearing aids are chosen to meet the individual needs of each patient based on a Client-Oriented Scale of Improvement. What's more, hearing aids are fit with at least a thirty day evaluation period. As Lorain County's only Audigy Certified hearing center, Oberlin Hearing Care uses the exclusive e-Patient hearing aid fitting and patient education software to customize your hearing care experience.
Hearing Aid Service and Supplies
All brands of hearing aids can be evaluated and repaired through our office. Many repairs can be done while you wait. We carry fresh hearing aid batteries as well as a complete line of accessories. Oberlin Hearing Care can also provide hearing assistive technology such as amplified telephones, alarm clocks, personal FM systems and more.
Custom Earmolds and Earplugs
From hearing aid earmolds to hearing protectors and Musician's Earplugs, Oberlin Hearing Care is your center in north central Ohio for custom made hearing protection. Swimmer's can also be helped with custom made ear protection which keeps the ears dry and safe.

Dr. Hetsko received his Au.D. Degree from the Arizona School of Health Sciences and is Board Certified in Audiology by the American Board of Audiology. He holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and the Ohio Speech-Language-Hearing Association. His past professional experience includes serving as the president of the Ohio Academy of Audiology, Northern Ohio Academy of Audiology, the Better Hearing and Speech Council of Lorain County and the Northern Ohio Language-Speech-Hearing Association. He is a past district representative to the Ohio Speech-Language-Hearing Association and past-president of the Rotary Club of Oberlin. Dr. Hetsko is a consultant to the Mercy Allen Hospital, Kendal at Oberlin, Wesleyan Village, and the Lorain County Free Clinic. He previously worked at the Rehabilitation Center of Lorain County (now the Children's Developmental Center) in Amherst, OH; the Oberlin Clinic and Oberlin Medical Center where he directed the Audiology programs. He served as a clinical supervisor for graduate Audiology students from local universities and lectured on hearing health care to private and professional organizations throughout Ohio. He has also been a guest lecturer on age-related hearing loss for the Lorain County Community College nursing program. Specializing in comprehensive hearing assessment and the application of advanced hearing instrument technology, Dr. Hetsko will personally assist you with your hearing health needs.
