Jessica earned her Master of Arts degree from Hofstra University in 2006. Before joining ENT and Allergy Associates, Jessica completed internships at New York- Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia and the Hebrew Home for the Aged. Jessica specializes in comprehensive audiologic evaluations for all age groups, dispensing the latest hearing aid technology and otoneurologic testing for balance disorders.
Marisa Thylstrup earned her Master of Science degree in Audiology, with clinical honors, at St. John's University in Queens, and completed her Doctorate of Audiology at Salus University. She completed her clinical fellowship at the League for the Hard of Hearing in New York City. Dr. Thylstrup is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the National Hearing Conservation Association. Dr. Thylstrup provides diagnostic audiological services for pediatric, adult and special needs populations.
Ilene earned her Bachelor’s in Speech and Hearing Science and her Master’s in Audiology at Lehman College. After training at the Bronx VA Hospital and The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, she received her New York State License in 1993. Ms. Shapiro was an Audiologist at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary for 8 years. She joined ENTA in 2001. She specializes in hearing aid dispensing and diagnostic testing to patients of all ages, including difficult to test populations. As a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association, Ms. Shapiro keeps up to date with current trends and technologies in the field.
Sue Weinstein earned her Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing Sciences at SUNY Cortland, and then her Master’s degree from Brooklyn College. She then went on to complete her clinical fellowship at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. She has been NY State licensed as an Audiologist since 1988. Mrs. Weinstein has been with ENT and Allergy Associates since 1995, and specializes in hearing aid dispensing, and diagnostic evaluations for patients of all ages, including difficult to test populations.
Barbara Posen earned her Master’s in Audiology at Hunter College. After several internships, including the Manhattan Veterans Affairs Hospital and Lennox Hill Hospital, she became a NY State certified Audiologist in 1994. In addition, Ms. Posen is certified by the American Speech language and Hearing Association, and is a fellow with the American Academy of Audiology. Ms. Posen specializes in balance disorders and otoneurological testing.
A full team of certified audiologists, trained in all aspects of hearing science, hearing disorders, sophisticated diagnostic procedures and amplification systems work closely with our medical staff. We are equipped with the latest diagnostic equipment available and each audiologist is versed in a sub-specialty within the field of audiology. Our audiologists can evaluate and treat the full spectrum of ear and hearing disorders in both the pediatric and adult patients.
