Kathryn Meade

Au.D., CCC-A, FAAA

Senior Audiologist Pediatric Specialist Kathryn Meade is a New York State licensed Audiologist with 17 years of experience with hearing rehabilitation. She has been with Sunnyview Hospital for 10 years serving a varied caseload from pediatrics to adults. She graduated from Michigan State University in 1991 with a Master of Arts Degree in Audiology. She obtained her Doctorate in Audiology from The George Osborne School of Audiology at Salus University in 2009. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and holds a Clinical Certificate of Competency in Audiology from the American Speech and Hearing Association. Kate’s specialties include comprehensive audiological evaluations for people of all ages, Central Auditory Processing Disorders (CAPD), Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) Testing, and hearing aid dispensing.

Caroline Roberts

Au.D., CCC-A, FAAA

Dr. Caroline Roberts is a New York State licensed audiologist and holds a Clinical Certificate of Competency in Audiology from the American Speech and Hearing Association. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the American Auditory Society. She graduated with a Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Maryland in 2007 and completed her dissertation at the National Institues of Health on "The Impact of Rheumatoid Arthritis on Middle Ear Function." Caroline's specialties include comprehensive audiological evaluations for people of all ages, Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) testing, and hearing aid dispensing. Caroline is a Shenendehowa High School Graduate and recently moved back to the area after working as an audiologist for 5 years at a private practice in Maryville, Tennessee.

Nicole Vitale

M.A., CCC-A, FAAA

Nicole is a New York State licensed Audiologist who holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence by the American Speech and Hearing Association. She graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Audiology from St. Johns University in 2000 and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Nicole provides comprehensive audiological testing for individuals of various ages, Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT), Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) testing, and hearing aid dispensing. Nicole recently relocated to the area from Long Island where she was an audiologist for 8 years at the Northport VA Medical Hospital; she is the newest member of the Sunnyview Hospital Audiology team.

Erin Winderl

Au.D., CCC-A, FAAA

ABR/Pediatric Specialist Dr. Erin Winderl is a New York State licensed Audiologist who holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence by the American Speech Hearing Association. She graduated from Syracuse University in 2002 with a Master of Science Degree in Audiology and she obtained her Doctorate in Audiology in 2005 from the School of Audiology at Pennsylvania School of Optometry. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Erin’s specialties include comprehensive audiological evaluations for people of all ages, Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) testing, and hearing aid dispensing.

Kevin Ihrman

Au.D., FAAA

Chief of Audiology Dr. Kevin Ihrman is a New York State licensed Audiologist who is Board Certified in Audiology by the American Board of Audiology. Kevin is the Chief of Audiology at Sunnyview Hospital where he sees patients of all ages. He Graduated from the State University of New York at Fredonia in 2001 with a Master of Science Degree in Audiology and he obtained his Doctorate in Audiology from The George Osborne School of Audiology at Salus University in 2009. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Kevin’s specialties include comprehensive audiological evaluations for people of all ages, Central Auditory Processing Disorders (CAPD), hearing aid dispensing, and Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT).

Jennifer Krom-Armer

Au.D., CCC-A, FAAA

Dr. Jennifer Krom-Armer has been a New York State licensed Audiologist for 18 years, serving Sunnyview Hospital for the past 11 years. Dr. Krom-Armer received a Master of Arts degree in Audiology in 1989 from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh and a Doctorate in Audiology in 2004 from The School of Audiology at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. In addition to being a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, she is Board Certified in Audiology by the American Board of Audiology. She is also a member of the New York State Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Dr. Krom-Armer’s tenure at Sunnyview has largely been at the hospital’s satellite audiology site in Amsterdam where she sees patients of all ages. There she provides comprehensive audiological evaluations, central auditory processing evaluations, industrial hearing screenings and hearing aid dispensing.

Dave DeBonis

Ph.D., CCC-A

Dr. DeBonis is a New York State licensed audiologist and is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. He is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the College of Saint Rose. He earned his Master of Science degree in Audiology from Pennsylvania State University in 1981 and his Doctorate in Educational Psychology from the State University of New York at Albany in 1998. David has over 20 years of clinical experience and over fifteen years of college teaching experience. He has co-authored articles in Topics in Language Disorders, the Journal of Attention Disorders, and the American Journal of Speech-Language Pathology. He is the co-author of Survey of Audiology: Fundamentals for Audiologists and Health Professionals, which is in its second edition. David’s specialties include comprehensive audiological evaluations, Central Auditory Processing Disorders (CAPD), and hearing aid dispensing.
