Dana Oviatt is a graduate of St. Lawrence University, Boston University(M.S.) and the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He has practiced Audiology since 1977 as clinician, researcher and teacher. He has performed diagnostic hearing and balance testing at the Glenrose Hospital for Children in Edmonton, Alberta, University of Michigan Hospitals and hospitals in Boston. He has presented and published research on binaural amplification for the hearing impaired, the effect of noise on the middle-ear, diagnostic hearing testing of the middle ear, cochlea and auditory nerve, pediatric hearing test measures, cochlear implants, noise-induced hearing loss and balance.
His particular interest is in the evaluation of the vestibular system which he has performed since starting his career in 1977. In 1990, he completed a post-doctoral fellowship in advanced vestibular evaluation and rehabilitation of patients with balance problems under the direction of Neil Shepard, Ph.D.
His personal interests include SCUBA diving, hiking and sailing. He sails during the summer along the eastern shore of Lake Ontario and has sailed offshore to Bermuda and along the eastern seacoast.
He is licensed to practice Audiology in New York, is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.
Licensed Doctor of Audiology Jodi Bova is a graduate of State Univeristy of New York at Buffalo, where she earned her Masters and Doctorate degree in audiology. She earned her B.S. from SUNY Geneseo in Communicative Disorders and Sciences. Her clinical experience includes diagnostic audiometric testing, vestibular function assessment, and fitting digital and conventional hearing aids. In addition to her work as a clinical audiologist, Jodi provides services to children of all ages and their families at home and in the schools as an educational audiologist. She has considerable experience testing adults with developmental disabilities and enjoys providing services to populations that are considered difficult to test.
Outside of the office, Jodi enjoys reading, cooking and being with family. She is a trained dancer and choreographs productions for schools and local community theater companies.
