Maico Hearing Aid Service

Catherine Porter, Owner, received her bachelor's degree from SUNY Potsdam in Psychology with a concentration in Speech Pathology and Audiology. She began her career with Maico Hearing Aid Service in March of 1978 and purchased the practice in January 1986. Catherine is a New York State Registered Hearing Aid Dispenser, a former secretary and board member of the New York State Hearing Aid Society and board-certified member of the International Hearing Aid Society. She keeps active in these organizations and remains state-of-the-art with numerous continuing education courses

Lisa is a New York State Licensed Audiologist and Registered Hearing Aid Dispenser. She received her bachelor's degree and clinical doctorate of Audiology at Syracuse University. She is currently a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and New York State Hearing Healthcare Alliance. Lisa began her career with Maico in January 2010. She also has experience teaching Audiology as an adjunct instructor at Syracuse University.

Crystal Thomas is training to become a hearing aid dispenser. She received her bachelor's degree from SUNY Brockport in English with a concentration in childhood education. After teaching for three years, she decided to change career paths and joined Maico Hearing Aid Service in October of 2011. We are happy to have Crystal as a new member of our staff!
