ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP

Dr. Rooney earned her Bachelor of Science in Communications Sciences and Disorders from The University of Texas at Austin, and her Master of Science in Audiology from CUNY Brooklyn College, and her Doctor of Audiology from the Arizona School of Health Sciences. Dr. Rooney completed her Clinical Fellowship Year at Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn, NY. She then spent subsequent years working at a private practice in Manhattan and a private Audiology practice in Brooklyn. She joined ENT and Allergy Associates in March, 2010. Her main focus is advanced digital hearing aids.

Sofya earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology at Brooklyn College and her Master of Arts at St. John's University, Jamiaca, Queens, NY. She then completed her Doctorate of Audiology at the University of Florida in Gainesville. She previously worked at ENT Associates of NY/Total Hearing Care, where she was a Senior Audiologist from 2006-2011 and at Brooklyn Audiology from 2004 to 2006. Dr. Shlafman performs audiological and electrophysiological evaluations (for dizziness and imbalance) for patients across the life span from pediatrics to the geriatric population. In addition, she has a special interest in dispensing and counseling patients on the use of hearing aids and other amplification devices.
