Dr. Occhiuto received her doctorate in audiology from Salus University in 2007, and completed her undergraduate studies and Masters program locally at St. John's University. Of all the areas of audiological studies her expertise is in adult aural rehabilitation and the fitting of hearing aids. It is a great feeling to help patients move from a feeling of struggling to hear to a sense of ease when they realize that it doesn't have to be that bad. Current technology combined with great looks and excellent sound qualities have changed the way that we fit hearing aids and the way that people have looked upon them in the past. It is a pleasure to see that our clientele is getting younger and younger meaning that we are helping more patients sooner, and for longer with better results than had been possible in the past. Audiology is a dynamic field and so are our patients. From each one there are changes and experiences that we learn from and utilize to help others. This is certainly a motivational factor in our attempts to bringing better hearing to all those we encounter in our offices!
