Albuquerque Hearing Associates

Albuquerque Hearing Associates, is dedicated to excellence in patient care.Their founder Carol Clifford is a nationally renowned speaker in the Hearing Industry.  She received her Bachelors degree in Communicative Disorders from Colorado State University and  her Masters Degree in Audiology & Hearing Impairment  from Northwestern University. Upon graduation, Carol completed her Clinical Fellowship Year at Glen Ellyn Clinic in Glen Ellyn, Illinois where she specialized in the evaluation and treatment of children with hearing disorders.Carol’s first Augiology practice included serving more than 100 physicians in the Chicago suburban area specialized in medical diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of hearing loss and balance disorders for both children and adults.

Tammy Sawyer has been with  Albuquerque Hearing Associates since 2011. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Adrian College in Sociology and Psychology and her Master’s in Audiology from Minot State University..  She was a counselor at Marie Katzenbach School for the Deaf in West Trenton and as a Hearing Aid Dispenser for the Canadian Hearing Society. Tammy has been developing diagnostic programs for testing infants and children as well as patients in hospital settings. She also has served as a Pediatric Audiologist at both Sebastian County Health Clinic in Ft. Smith, Arkansas & at Welsely Medical Center in Wichita Kansas.  Before joining Albuquerque Hearing Associates, Tammy’s expertise in diagnostics combined with her warm mannered nature allows her to successfully help Albuquerque Hearing Associates reach more people with hearing loss!

Elaine Almquist has been with Albuquerque Hearing Associates since 2012. Elaine earned a B.A. in Speech and Language Pathology from the University of New Mexico along with a B.A. in English with an emphasis in Professional Writing. She also earned  her Doctorate of Audiology degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center. Elaine completed her internship at a Santa Fe ENT clinic, primarily performing balance testing. After completing her degree requirements, she spent two more years in Santa Fe fitting hearing devices. Still living in Santa Fe, she enjoys spending quiet weekends in her xeriscaped garden. Her competence in understanding the hearing needs of our patients is something we all admire.
