Better Hearing Center, Inc. was established in 1957 by Herbert J Hodgdon in Concord NH and was known as the Hodgdon Clinical Lab, Inc. It has continued to be family owned and operated for two generations. In 1969, Herbert J Hodgdon II joined his father's business and in 1972 he purchased the company from his father.
Over the years the company has changed names several times, but the same professional level of caring service and attention to detail have always been maintained. We pride ourselves in having serviced the Concord area for over 50 years. Many generations of patients and their families know us for providing the best service and the latest in hearing technology, as well as the most reasonable prices in the area.

Better Hearing Center offers comprehensive diagnostic hearing exams and hearing aids for patients of all ages with two audiologists on staff. In addition, we offer counseling on hearing health, all types and brands of hearing aids, hearing aid evaluations, repairs and batteries. We also carry a complete line of assistive listening devices including the newest bluetooth technology.

Lisa R. Gosselin has been an audiologist at the Better Hearing Center for over six years. She has been a certified audiologist, licensed in the state of NH, for over 29 years. Lisa earned her Bachelors in Speech Communication from Allegheny College and her Masters of Science in Audiology from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.
Lisa has extensive experience with helping people of all ages hear better. Her expertise includes evaluation of hearing, balance, central auditory processing and auditory nerve function, as well as hearing aid technology.
Rachel Finan is a licensed Hearing Instrument SPecialist who earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Massachusetts and is currently completing her Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Northern Colorado. Rachelis a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is happy to return to New England. Rachel is currently completing doctorial research on aural rehabilitation programs with pediatric cochear implant users.
She has a passion for helping others and finds her job extremely rewarding. Rachel loves working with all ages of patients from birth to over 100 years old. She prides herself on utilizing evidence-based practices and treating every patient as an individual.
