Cathy grew up knowing she wanted to help people solve their hearing problems as both her Grandfather and Grandmother Bieri were hearing impaired. Cathy earned her Doctorate in Audiology, an MSC in speech pathology at Auburn University and an M.A. in audiology at Central Michigan University. Cathy embarked on a career in the field of audiology and speech pathology by taking advantage of the opportunity to work with her Father at Bieri Hearing Services.
Martha Anderson earned her Masters degree in Audiology at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. and her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology/Speech and Hearing at the University of Michigan. She has a vast array of experience and treats patients of all ages.
Roxanne Kapala joined the practice in 2000 and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders at Northern Michigan University and her Masters degree in Audiology at Central Michigan University. She has a vast array of experience including Staff Audiologist for a five person ENT practice in Wichita, Kansas; a Consulting Audiologist for an earmold manufacturer; and Staff Audiologist for Bell Memorial Hospital in Ishpeming, Michigan.
Linda Meyer has her Audiology degree and having worn hearing aids since the age of 5, Linda knows first-hand what it's like to be hearing impaired. She willingly shares her personal experiences to help other deal with their own, or a family member's hearing loss. and proudly continues to provide patient's with kind, courteous and knowledgeable care that Bieri Hearing Specialists have provided to Mid-Michigan for over 55 years.
Sophia Meyer received her training in Hearing Aid Sales & Service through the International Hearing Aid Society In 1982 she obtained her State of Michigan License for Hearing Aid Sales. While working at Bieri Hearing part-time during high school, Sophia gained empathy for the needs of the hard of hearing. Her greatest satisfaction comes from going the "extra mile" to service her client's needs. Sophia regularly takes the time to go out to nursing homes to service patients that are unable to come into the office.
Sue Rabior has been with Bieri Hearing since 1986 and earned her Masters degree in Audiology from Central Michigan University. Sue finds great satisfaction in counseling her patients and their families about hearing impairment. Much care is given to help them understand hearing loss and how it can be improved with the latest and best products.
Celebrating over 60 years! Our journey began with Gottlieb Bieri and his wife, Marie Bieri who decided they wanted to help others like his parents, Helen & Gottlieb Sr. Bieri who had met at the Flint School for the Deaf in the early 1900's. Gottlieb was inspired to seek out technology that would help not only his parents, but others to enjoy life to its fullest and to interact easier with family, social situations and work. Gottlieb and Marie Bieri's daughter, Cathy Bieri Ryan, Au.D./Doctor of Audiology continues the legacy as President of Bieri Hearing Specialists. It is her goal that everyone with a hearing impairment receives care from a knowledgeable and caring staff so that they may live a better life.
