Alicia Spoor


Alicia D.D. Spoor, Au.D., FAAA, joined A & A Hearing Group in 2011. Previously, Dr. Spoor was part of the cochlear implant and hearing aid teams at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. She received her Doctor of Audiology degree and Master of Science degree from Gallaudet University, in Washington, D.C. Clinical internship experiences included Bethesda National Naval Medical Center (BNNMC), Ft. Belvoir Army Community Hospital and Kendall Demonstration Elementary School (KDES). In addition, she has 8 years of formal American Sign Language (ASL) education and has completed intensive coursework in Deaf culture and multicultural sensitivity.

Dr. Spoor taught at both the undergraduate and graduate levels while at Gallaudet University. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University in Audiology and Speech Sciences. She takes a special interest in teaching and educational training at all age levels, tinnitus treatment, assistive technology and humanitarian outreach efforts. Dr. Spoor was the 2010 Maryland Academy of Audiology President and currently Chairs the Advocacy Committee for the Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA).


Jennifer Lawless

Rockville Office Manager

Jennifer Lawless is the Front Office Manager at the Rockville Office. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Science from Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD. Jenny comes to the A&A family with a diverse background ranging from Volunteer Coordination with “the domestic peace corps”, to providing administrative support in the Human Resources department of a large corporation to self employment as a Personal Assistant. The common thread in her experience has been a passion for providing top notch service to her clients and co-workers alike.

About this clinic

Our center provides comprehensive hearing care services including complete hearing evaluations, hearing loss rehabilitation, education and counseling.  Our goal is to improve the lives of people with hearing loss through better hearing and quality hearing care services.  In order to meet your individual hearing needs, we may refer you for medical treatment, if indicated, or recommend hearing aids or other assistive listening devices.  We dispense a wide range of hearing technology including the latest models to suit most every hearing loss, hearing need, lifestyle and budget.

Hearing protection and hearing loss prevention are key components of our care. Through consultation on the effects of noise on hearing, community outreach talks, screenings, and the dispensing of hearing protection devices, we strive to educate our patients and the general public on the importance of hearing and how to protect it.
