Dr. Paul Milner has over 45 years of experience in hearing and hearing disorders, in scientific and clinical research, and in applications related to acoustics, broadcast and recording technologies. He has been part-time faculty at numerous universities, teaching courses in Audiology and hearing science. He has also worked for the Veteran’s Administration, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, and Children’s Hospital in Boston. Dr. Milner is the Founding President of the Massachusetts Academy of Audiology and is Board Certified® by the American Board of Audiology.
Judy Learner Nichols has more than 30 years of experience as a clinical audiologist, trainer, and representative for a major hearing aid manufacturer. Her prior experience also included audiologic and hearing aid management for adults and children, including special needs populations, in an outpatient hospital clinic, educational audiology for school-aged children, and language and auditory training in a parent-infant program. Her expertise is in fitting and fine tuning digital hearing aids.
Kim Marie Nicols has extensive experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing people, primarily in the fields of social work and education, and is fluent in American Sign Language. Her previous employment has included counseling middle school students with hearing loss, and as a case manager at the Massachusetts Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. She provides front office coverage, develops the marketing for Hearing Care Center, and advises hearing aid users on available resources.
Phyllis Cohen has been providing office assistance at Hearing Care Center for over 20 years, drawing upon her previous years of experience in customer relations as well as successfully operating her own franchise business ventures. She covers the front office duties, does insurance billing, serves as a Notary Public, and provides hearing aid cleaning and care. Along with all the staff, she strives to build trusting, long-term relationships with clients to insure their ongoing success with hearing aids.
Hearing Care Center opened in 1989 with the goal of providing state-of-the-art comprehensive hearing health care services to people of all ages. The audiologists are fully licensed and certified, holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and are fellows of the American Academy of Audiology. They specialize in working with the latest technology from the world’s leading hearing instrument manufacturers. At Hearing Care Center you will experience unequalled levels of care and have access to only the highest quality of products and services in a personalized family oriented environment.
Hearing Care Center offers comprehensive hearing evaluations and hearing aid evaluations and fittings. Industrial hearing screening and licensure testing are also performed by the audiologists. Impressions are made for custom hearing protection and swimmer’s ear plugs, and custom musician ear plugs and ear pieces for audio equipment. The services also include hearing aid repairs, and the sale of batteries and supplies for hearing aid care, and assistive listening devices and wireless listening technology. Hearing Care Center is well-situated at the Cobb’s Corner intersection, has convenient parking, and the office is fully wheelchair accessible.
