Alissa Hench

Au.D., AuD

Dr. Hench received her Doctorate in Audiology from Nova Southeastern University in 2007, where she graduated with Honors. She completed her undergraduate coursework in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the Pennsylvania State University in 2003. 

Dr. Hench previously worked at an ENT practice in Boca Raton, Florida upon graduation from her doctoral program and prior to joining Enhanced Auditory Resources.  In her career, Dr. Hench has experience in the development of a Tinnitus and Hyperacusis Center and pioneering an Audiology Assistant Training Program.  She has participated in numerous research studies with major manufactures of hearing devices and tinnitus treatment therapies and is also experienced as a clinical supervisor for numerous universities, for both third and fourth year students, in Doctor of Audiology Programs across the country.

Dr. Hench is board certified by the American Board of Audiology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and the Massachusetts Academy of Audiology.  She is a professional member of the American Tinnitus Association and the Tinnitus Practitioners Association and hold certification in both the Neuromonics Tinnitus Treatment as well as in Widex Zen Tinnitus Therapy.

Dr. Hench’s areas of expertise include:

  • Rehabilitative Audiology for the adult and pediatric populations
  • Counseling and Aural Rehabilitation
  • Selection and fitting of Amplification (Hearing Devices)
  • Assistive Listening Devices
  • Tinnitus Assessment and Management

Dr. Hench realizes that each and every patient has different and unique needs.  She looks forward to hearing each of their stories and is truly appreciative that they trust in her to lead them on their journey towards improved hearing, communication and quality of life. 


Jenn Sherrod

Jennifer Sherrod brings extensive medical office experience, as well as a keen sense of organizational management to the E.A.R. team. Sherrod's polished interpersonal skills and computer savvy are instrumental in assisting patients as they navigate through the challenges of treating their hearing loss.

In addition, Jenn is completing her trianing to obtain her certification as a Hearing Instrument Specialist.  This will allow her to complete annual evalutions, assist Dr. Hench in hearing device fittings, routine care and maintenance as well as device trouble-shooting.  Patients have found Jenn to be a key resource in ensuring that their every need, from the first moment of contact, is attended to.

She is considered a true treasure by staff and patients alike


Leslie Kulakowski

Leslie has joined our team at EAR as Patient Care Coodinator.  Leslie is here to see that everything runs smoothly from the moment you call us to facilitating your appointment, sending you directions and answering any questions that you may have.  Leslie's friendly voice is the one you will hear upon calling us, and calm, efficient manners allows us to serve our patients in the manner they desire and deserve.  Leslie enjoys yoga, walking and a good movie!
