Our Practice Commonwealth Ear, Nose & Throat was established in late 1984 by the blending of two separate medical practices. Dr. Gorden T. McMurry P.S.C., solo practice, established in 1975 and Morris & Welsh P.S.C. which began in 1977 as a solo practice established by Dr. John R. Morris with Dr. Donald V. Welsh joining the practice in 1980. Since then our practice has grown to seven physicians to include Kenneth M. Hodge, Andrew R. Gould, Keith D. Forwith and Steven D. Shotts. We recognize that a doctor's visit can cause considerable inconvenience. We've built our practice on a philosophy of putting patients first. Although our main office is located in the heart of the East End medical community, we have other offices located in the greater Kentuckiana area including Bardstown, LaGrange and Shelbyville, KY and New Albany, IN. All our offices are in easy-to-get-to areas. We operate and consult at most area hospitals so no matter where your personal or insurance preferences direct you, a Commonwealth physician is nearby. We also accept most insurance plans, so if your job or insurance changes, it's most likely your ear, nose and throat doctor won't. We provide complete ear, nose, and throat care including allergy, audiology, and sinus care. In addition, we have our own accredited, state of the art, low-dose CT Scanner - MiniCat® - for quick and easy diagnosis of your sinus problems. We take pride in our clinical research department. We partiipate in national clinical research study programs in order to benefit and improve patient care in ear, nose and throat.
