Dr. Ison received her degree in Audiology from the University of Georgia in 1978. She received her doctorate in Audiology in 2003 from the Arizona School of Health Sciences. After graduation, she worked as a clinical and rehabilitative audiologist for Brookwood Hearing and Speech Clinic in Birmingham, Alabama. After moving to Kentucky, she served as an audiologist for the Department of Defense at Ft. Campbell Kentucky. Pam Ison and Barry Freeman, Ph.D., established Hearing Services of Kentucky, Inc. in 1983. Currently, she is a member of American Academy of Audiology, American Speech Language and Hearing Association, American Auditory Society, Academy of Rehabilitative Audiology, Audiological Resource Association, and Academy of Dispensing Audiologists. Dr. Ison is also a charter member of the Kentucky State Affiliate of the American Academy of Audiology and is a past president and board member. She was appointed to the Kentucky Licensure Board for Hearing Instrument Specialists in 1999. She was appointed to the Kentucky Licensure Board for Speech and Hearing in 2003. She is currently serving as a member of the reimbursement committee and regional state coordinator for AAA. She is licensed to practice audiology and dispense hearing aids in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Our office consists of board certified Audiologists committed to providing the highest standards of diagnostic services. Audiologists are professionals who specialize in the assessment of hearing loss and related disorders and provide appropriate recommendations for medical referral or rehabilitation services.
Our expert staff of AudigyCertified™ professionals provide services to those from newborn to over a hundred years old. These include basic behavioral tests and sophisticated computerized otoneurological evaluations. When appropriate, the latest digital hearing instruments may be utilized to help compensate for a hearing impairment. For individuals who work in high noise areas, we administer Hearing Conservation Programs in accordance with OSHA guidelines.
