“Earcare appointment 26 March 2015 Unfortunately we did not have the opportunity to visit with the doctor. We did meet her in passing and she seemed very nice. However, we cannot say the same for the office receptionist. We arrived very early for our appointment approximately 30 minutes before the scheduled time. A bit earlier than we intended, but the idea was to get there and take care of any initial paperwork that always needs done when you first visit a care provider. This is where it started to go poorly. When we arrived we were not checked in as was expected. We were instead escorted to the waiting room were we sat for the next 30 minutes. There was coffee and water available and the room was comfortable with the exception to the temperature which was at 66 degrees per the thermostat. The doctor was with a patient and left the examining room to go to the front office. This was our brief encounter with her. She greeted us and informed us she would be with us soon. She seemed very pleasant. She entered the office and we could over hear when she inquired about us and the receptionist responded that she had not yet checked us in. A few minutes pass and the receptionist enters the waiting room with a clipboard with paperwork. We are now more than 30 minutes into our experience and a few minutes past our scheduled appointment time. The receptionist sits in a chair next to us and begins to ask questions. I at this time inquired as to why we could not have completed this portion of the check in process when we first arrived. Her response was that the paperwork would not take very long and that your appointment time wasn’t until 10:30. I responded that it is normal to arrive a bit early to complete any needed paperwork prior to the appointment time. She then returned with “I didn’t ask you to come early”. My response at this time was to the effect of we won’t deal with people that don’t value our time or appear to want our business. There are other providers. We then left the office. How this should have gone is really simple and it is how it is done 99% of the time. We arrive early to our appointment. The front desk person checks us in and provides us with any necessary paperwork that you usually have on first time visits. We complete the documents, return them to the receptionist and sit in the waiting room until we are called. At this point the time between completing the check in process and the appointment time is on us. Waiting until after our scheduled appointment time to come and start the check in process is unacceptable. I did leave out one very important part. With exception to the patient in the examining room, the doctor and office personnel, we were the only other patient there. We could have been considerably more understanding if they were busy doing anything…at all. A 3 rating? We unfortunately didn’t get to experience everything Earcare had to offer and we didn’t feel it was fair to rate them poorly based on our experience with one person. We won’t say we would never do business with Earcare, but we will not be going to that office to be sure. ”

“They really care that you have a good experience getting use to the hearing aids. I had a problem with one of them, they kept working until the problem was resolved. I enjoy hearing better and knowing when there is a problem they will take care of it. Would recommend them to anyone having hearing issues. ”
