About this clinic
Greenleaf Hearing owner Dr. McQueeney has lived and practiced audiology in Hancock County since 1989. She is committed to providing hearing healthcare services with the latest in hearing aid digital technology. Understanding that each person who enters into the hearing healthcare process as unique, Dr. McQueeney tailors each hearing rehabilitative process to meet individual lifestyles and needs.
In order to confirm that you do have a hearing loss you need to have your hearing evaluated by Dr. McQueeney. Once the test results are available, she will determine what course of action needs to be taken. Depending on the type and degree of hearing loss, a medical referral and/or a recommendation for hearing aids will be made. If you are experiencing medical symptoms associated with your ears, you need to go directly to a medical doctor.
If hearing aids are recommended, Dr. McQueeney will discuss various options and styles with you. Patient input regarding preferences along with the hearing test results will be used to determine the best fit for you. There are a wide variety of technology levels and styles. Some patients will be more compatible and receive more benefit with one style and technology over others. The assessment period allows time to discover which amplification devices are right for you!
The goal of every hearing aid fitting is to ensure that every person is comfortable with and benefiting greatly from the use of the amplification devices chosen. If not, she will work together with the patient until the goal is achieved.
Dr. McQueeney views the patient/doctor relationship as a team effort, working together to achieve the greatest results possible for better hearing and communication. Along with hearing aid fittings, Dr. McQueeney provides complete hearing evaluations, hearing screenings, retrocochlear pathology screenings, and tinnitus management. She also offers a full line of custom ear protection devices and 30-day assessment period on all amplification devices.
