
Monica is originally from Dubuque‚ Iowa. She earned her Doctorate degree in Audiology (Au.D.) in 2001‚ from the University of Florida. Before beginning at Killean‚ she received her Master’s Degree (M.A.) in Audiology in 1997 and her Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Speech and Hearing Science in 1995‚ both from the University of Iowa. She has been providing services at Killean Audiology & Hearing Aid Centers since 1997. She is a licensed audiologist and hearing instrument specialist in both Iowa and Illinois. She holds many professional memberships including the Academy of Dispensing Audiologists‚ the American Auditory Society‚ the International Hearing Society‚ the Quad Cities Speech-Language Hearing Association‚ Iowa Association of Hearing Health Professionals‚ and Self-Help for the Hard of Hearing. She volunteers for a local community service group‚ where she screens the hearing of school age and preschool children. She is also an active member the American Business Women’s Association and enjoys being involved in their fundraising activities. She is involved in public service and education such as adult hearing screening programs and speaking at seminars and health fairs. She has been married to Vance since 1995 and they hope to start a family soon. In her free time‚ Monica likes reading‚ rollerblading‚ visiting with family and friends‚ collecting vinyl record albums‚ and attempting to learn guitar.
