Official Response from Hearing Health Center - Highland Park:“Dear Mary, When I founded Hearing Health Center in 1984, my mission was to change people's lives by enabling them to understand the voices of the people that are important to them. As I have explained to you repeatedly since February of 2014, I want to do that for you and I hope that you will let me help you. As you know, Illinois law clearly states that "All hearing instruments offered for sale must be accompanied by a 30-business day return privilege. The receipt or contract provided to the consumer shall state that the consumer has a right to return the hearing instrument for a refund within 30 business days of the date of delivery." We are an upstanding locally-owned business with a well-earned excellent reputation and we're very happy to comply with that law and all other applicable laws. However, trying to return used hearing aids back to the place of purchase 102 days after delivery and demanding a refund does not entitle one to a refund in the eyes of Illinois law and the contract that every client signs. Also, when a client tells us they love their new hearing aids, then we don't hear from them for three and a half months despite our numerous outreach attempts, we can only assume that the client is satisfied. Failing to attend multiple follow-up appointments and failing to return multiple concerned from calls from our office for 102 days can reduce any client's chances for successful hearing rehabilitation and is an unfortunate waste of our professional resources. I care deeply about the satisfaction of everyone who walks through my door and I am truly sorry you are unhappy. My offer to help you stands, however, we can't assist you if you won't come and see us. We've spent countless hours trying to work with you and help you because we care about you and your hearing and we believe that we have gone above and beyond what is expected to ensure your satisfaction.
